true forgiveness

'if your brother sins ,rebuke him ,and if he repents ,forgive him .If he sins against you seven times in a day ,seven times comes back to you and says , i repent ,forgive him luke 17;3-4 My little cousin has a simple answer to the question ,Why did you hit your brother , hios response was , Well ........ he hit me .....on purpose , he hasnt learned the process of forgiveness yet, But, we are working on it Forgiveness is giving up the need to get even .Its realizing that there is a chance to that the hurt inflicted on you was not intertional .Forgiveness is deciding that even if the frst strike was intentional ,forgiveness is a better route than all out battle .The strength to forgive make you stronger than the one who must always get even OK ,this is a great thing to know and its not too early to begin teaching it to a three year old , its not going to be easy though ,and i may get to show examples of what forgiveness looks like along the way .Good exercise for me Forgiveness is me giving up the right to hurt you forn hurting me
