Today I got in my yesterday's 11 chests, 48 DEC, five Legendary Potions, 3 Alchemy Potions, a Gargoya Lion and an awesome epic Djinn Renova. My focus today was "Exploits" and it was hard to battle in Modern. I don't know why, but at the beginning I was killing it with a five or six wins in a row, and then everything went south. In this new focus, I have to use cards with "oppress", "giant killer" or "death blow" abilities. I have some of those and they worked pretty fine. However, I think most of the time they didn't fit well in the lineup and ended losing too many times for my taste. I won 12 of 27 battles for a 44.4% win rate. I got 78.2 DEC and hit 1,954 rating points getting down 70 points from yesterday's rating. For tomorrow I will have 9 chests and I got two more chests for my next End of Season (EOS), getting at 66. This is already my highest record in EOS chests ever! My highest previous count was 63. So amazing! Let's see if I can get 70 before this current season ends! #Splinterlands #play2earn #playtoearn

They should remove those potions. We can't sell them.😂
We should be able to at least burn them if somebody don't want them!
These potion chests are ridiculous. They didn't fix the rate at which they drop as promised, instead it seems they just increased the multiplier for each league. I'm pretty sure 35%-40% of the chests I am opening are potions (I'm at Gold I), and I'm not the only one by the looks of it... Sad.
Uhmm yeah, it seems like blunder to me. Before I got lots of cards and a normal quantity of potions and now I just got mostly potions. I wish I can drink them!!! In the bright side of things, I began already with Operation "200 packs in a row"... Well, more like "100ish" packs to be honest. I didn't want to go broke! So, this quantity of potions would help me a lot, but I would need to open those packs very slowly while I accumulate them. It's too much money for just 1,000 potions!
Careful. My last 400 packs I didn't get another Golden. Got 8 in total, from about 2000 packs opened (both through shop and Hive-engine). So the maths doesn't hold up that well, in the end :( I hope you don't go so long without one, and on the bright side there were 2 I got in around 100 packs... luck plays a big role. I'd say it's still the best time to buy packs, even if you don't pull a gold foil legendary. Holding the cards now certainly equals value in the future. On my end, I'm done. Leveled all my rare CL summoners to 5, and maxed the cards to go with them. Gold league access with no need for rentals achieved. Airdrops secured to the end of the expansion, I hope. Let's see. Now I've entered the accumulation stage, and big part of the focus is getting those vouchers for when Riftwatchers come.
Yeah, don't worry, man. I know. I opened my 14 packs that I got from rewards and giveaways and it didn't go that well. But I got a GF summoner (sloan) and a couple of GF commons, two legendary from the regular ones and the other cards were a mixed bunch of commons and had a couple of other summoners. At the end, I thought that DEC was still good for investing it in packs. I got them around $2.14 USD each, more or less, still a bit pricey than in hive.engine, but much lower than buying it at a whole price. But of course, I would love to have a chance to get the subsequent airdrops, so it was a no brainer to me. And I know they are no guaranteed, though. But I had to try! On the other hand, those 14 packages yielded me at the end a $36,52 USD in value from it's original and theoretical $56 USD. So I thought, I'm paying almost the half for these I bought, I won't never got the whole value of them, but if I got even with those packs, well, this would be a good chance to use some of those cards for rent! So, if I don't get break even now, I will recover it from the rents at some point. I think I will pass the Riftwatchers packs, but I'm interested in getting single cards from them. Nevertheless, if a good opportunity arises, I will consider to buy some packs of those, too!
