Did you know mammals can breathe using their intestines? A new study shows that rodents and pigs can use their intetestines as respiratory organ to beathe. The researchers already conducted an experiment with two mammalian suffering with breathing issues by delivering oxygen gas and oxygenated liquid through the rectum. The experiment shows that their intestines were capable to help them breathe easily.
