Most of you know this is Swami Vivekananda's sculpture. It is made in front of a Metro Station in Kolkata, India. I photographed the sculpture nine months ago when I was passing by it. I have read about him in history book. He was born on Jan 12, 1863, in a Bengali family who were living at 3 Gourmohan Mukherjee Road, in Kolkata. You know Kolkata is previously called Calcutta. Formally he was named Narendranath Dutta or Narendra or Naren. His father’s name was Vishwanath Dutta. He was a laywer by profession and used to practice at the Calcutta High Court. Vivekanand’s mother, Bhubaneswari devi, was a housewife but had deep religious feeling. #History
