Why flowers are colorful? We see flowers with different colors that attract not only birds and insects, but also humans. These colors are produced in flowers by pigments like anthocyanins and carotenoids. Anthocyanins mainly provide blue, red, pink and purple to flowers and carotenoids are responsible to produce red, yellow, and orange colors in some flowers.
