Did you know oxygen is produced on the space station from a process called “electrolysis”? Astronauts produce oxygen by running eletricity through water. This process is known as electrolysis. It separates both hydrogen gas and oxygen gas from water. In order to run electrolysis, they get electricity from ISS solar panel.
