The Newly Signed Nigerian Law Versus The Cryptocurrency
A new law has been signed this week by the president of Nigeria- President Mohammed Buhari. The law states that any unclaimed fund or dormant funds in the bank for atleast six years will be credited to the federal government through the unclaimed trust fund of Nigeria. In essence, this means that if you as an individual keeps money in your bank untouched or dormant for atleast six years, the money will go straight to the Nigerian government as a form of lending to the government. This new act has caused chaos amongst people who have been saving up money in their account for years. The question now is why the chaos? To let you know, the Nigerian government has been borrowing money from different countries across the globe for the past two decades without paying back. The Nigerian government couldn't borrow enough from other countries this year because of the effect of covid-19 and that is why they are now looking at borrowing individual funds from the bank. According to nairametrics( https://nairametrics.com/2020/09/11/nigeria-total-public-debt-hits-n31-trillion-as-debt-service-gulp-over-n1-2-trillion-in-h1-2020/#:~:text=2%20trillion%20in%20H1%202020,-4%20months%20ago&text=Nigeria%27s%20Total%20Debt%20Stock%20(Foreign,increase%20when%20compared%20with%20N28.) the debt of the country as at June 2020 was $85.9 billion and there are no signs of the country paying back.
Now the question is, will you still save up your money in the bank for years? This is where **Cryptocurrency** comes in. Instead of saving your money in the bank for years and allowing the government to use it without any assurance of getting it back with interest, it's best to invest it by buying a cryptocurrency. Now, the next question is which cryptocurrency should you buy and hodl? There are so many crypto currency with expected rise in the future but I will advice you buy BCH, currently it's going at a spike with still more expectations in the future. Don't forget that the transaction fee for BCH is also low compared to ETH and BTC. Also, BCH is still low in price (though incre asing) when compared to ETH and BTC and there is still a great mass adoption going on everyday as this site also helps in achieving such for the benefit of BCH and it's holders. So, don't save money in Nigerian banks, instead buy BCH and hodl. In years , you'll be very happy you did it. Cheers to BCH.
