Herb Alpert (1935 - ) One of the best trumpeters on the planet. He's still got it! He has live concerts scheduled for the remainder of 2021 and into 2022. I liked all of his music. But the instrumental titled “Rise”, released in 1979, was a very very popular tune. It was so popular that even kids that were in high school band learned how to play it.
