Marvin Pentz Gay Jr. (1939 – 1984) , known professionally as Marvin Gaye. It is a shame how he died. His father shot him. However … I'm sure there is a lot more to this “family story” than what was reported in the news. Even so ... I watched a documentary of his career and life. Such a talented man. But his life was a sad state of affairs. These two songs, however, are timeless. He left behind a lot of good music.
