Superfoods For a Healthy Mood: The 10 Most Effective Foods for Fighting Depression with Diet and Nutrition ~ https://www.consciouslifestylemag.com/foods-for-depression-diet-and-nutrition/ LOL. After combing through this article, I realized that most of the foods on the “Good list” were not a part of my diet. This is the list. 1. Organic, Grass-Fed Raw Whey Protein Concentrate 2. Wild Caught Alaskan Salmon Fish Oil 3. Hydrilla Verticillata 4. Ghee 5. Chlorella 6. Pine Pollen 7. Mucuna Pruriens 8. Nori 9. Rice Bran Tocotrienols 10. Organic, Cage-Free Eggs I decided that the best section of this article was the part titled “Foods to Avoid If You Are Depressed or Anxious”. This list I can understand. AVOID: + Soda + Candy + Fast food of all kinds + Sugary foods like pastries, cookies, ice cream, etc. (these are ok in very limited quantities as long as they are made from organic ingredients and follow the guidelines outlined in this article) + White bread + White rice + Foods made from white flour like most pasta (choose whole wheat, brown rice or quinoa pasta instead) + Products with soy in them (organic tofu, tempeh and edamame are ok in moderation) + Refined oils (hydrogenated oils, soybean oil, canola oil, corn oil, cottonseed oil, sunflower oil, etc.) + Monosodium Glutamate (MSG). Also goes by the names: hydrolyzed vegetable protein and yeast extract and can be hidden in natural flavorings Wouldn't you know it? The only thing on this list I avoid is MSG. Foods with MSG give me a headache. As for everything else, I eat this stuff all the time. I did suffer from depression once, but I know it had nothing to do with the food I was eating. It was my work environment. I changed that and it helped a lot! However, for others, the condition of their mental health might very well be linked to the type of foods they eat. As always, you should consult a physician if you have any questions regarding your physical or mental health. #Health
