I love flowers. Doesn't everybody? I am originally from Florida. This state was named by the explorer Ponce de Leon. When he arrived he saw many beautiful flowers. “Florida” translated from Spanish mean “abounding in flowers”. Growing up I saw many gorgeous flowers but not this one. It is called the Anthurium flower. I like it because it is heart-shaped. My research indicates that this tropical plant will easily grow in South Florida gardens. It is a great indoor houseplant.
