Excerpt from an article I published on Read.Cash. "... using a timeline published by The WJSchroer Company, if you were born 1995 to 2012, you are in Generation Z. This means that Gen Z are the folks born in the generation AFTER the Millennials. *The Post-Millennials*." Let's Discuss the Mental Health of the Post-Millennials ~ https://read.cash/@cmoneyspinner/lets-discuss-the-mental-health-of-the-post-millennials-350967c1 Now that I know who GEN Z-ers are, I am curious about this generation because of my grandkids. Articles or reports that mention them usually catch me attention. Like this CNBC article. "Gen Z is stashing away 14% of income for retirement — more than older generations, study shows" ~ https://www.cnbc.com/2022/07/26/gen-z-saving-14percent-of-income-for-retirement-more-than-other-generations.html Putting away 14% of their income for the golden years???? WOW!! To me that's impressive. Per the article, "Generation Z workers — defined in the study as those ages 18 to 25 ..." 18 to 25??? Uh huh. That's impressive for 2 reasons. (1) First of all. They're working??? Between the ages of 18 to 25 I was attending university and not working! (I don't count the part-time college work-study program as employment. It was part of my financial aid package.) These kids are working and can put away 14% of their income???? Are they still living with their parents or on their own? The article does not say. (2) Considering that the mass shooters (in the USA), in recent incidents, who were able to legally purchase assault weapons, are between the ages of 18 to 25 ... I was starting to wonder if the Gen Z kids had any plans for their future AT ALL!! Based on what I know, the shooters were either living with their parents or grandparents. I can tell you one thing. When I was between the ages of 18 to 25, I wasn't thinking about killing a bunch of people and ruining my future life! #randomthoughts #GenZ #retirementplanning
