Johnny Worricker (Bill Nighy) is a loyal government servant, and a kind gentleman who loves art and does not have much time for a social life. But he meets a young woman, Nancy Pierpan (played by Rachel Weisz). They live in the same apartment building, so she's a neighbor. She has a problem. She wants to know the truth about her brother's death. She knows the “official story” just can't be true. In his position in intelligence, Mr. Worricker could probably find the answers. Should he? Helping his neighbor is the sub-plot. The main plot is that Mr. Worricker uncovers something about the British Prime Minister on “page 8” of an intelligence report. What should he do?
