A speech about a language | Translating from Russian *Recently, I asked* *Russian Bloggers* *some questions about languages.* https://ecency.com/created/hive-166239 I liked the entry of @ruta-rudens in the folowing post : Разговор о языке. I asked her the permission to translate the post, and she accepted. https://blurt.blog/@ruta-rudens https://hive.blog/hive-166239/@ruta-rudens/razgovor-o-yazyke Here's the translation : The publication turned out a little late, but the topic in this blog is appropriate, so to be continued. Many questions already sound like answers (because they are voiced). Speaking in Russian, these are common truths, axioms, if you like. Exactly what does not require any special proof. Is it important to speak only your native language ? It's important to speak the native language, because any language is a carrier of culture, norms and customs. In addition, it's able to convey our feelings, views, ideas in the shortest way. And a lot of things. About the question "only if the native?": it depends on the situation. Is it necessary to study a foreign language? It is. At the very least, humanity should have different ways of communication. Language is one of them. Should the language be spread around the world? A living language will find its own way. But with that said, when language is a way of expressing history, literature, art in general... let the world be richer: in every language there are unique, original parts. What contribution can each of us make? To love your native language, is to not litter it. Can the language influence beliefs? In my opinion, language is still a sign system capable of mirroring our beliefs. But not vice versa. What languages do you know and why? French. This is the usual program of the school and institute. Maybe a little more. Without practice of the language, you quickly lose your skills. Yes, even today I can understand the meaning of a dialogue or a simple text, but I’m unlikely to be able to chat freely on abstract topics with a native speaker. Things are worse with English, but I continue to study it on my own. I like its simple and clear logic. It needs only a little more of my efforts. What language would you like to learn and why? Perhaps Spanish... at least, because I like its phonetics. In addition, more than 500 million people speak this language in the world. **This is what I liked the most :**

Not nice comment from a bad person ! *This is what I will do from now. I will share all the comments I'm getting from the web. Aren't we just writing here ?* That comment was from someone who wrote that under my following video : https://youtu.be/eWbdKBVRTBQ In the video I just talked about how I like the Russian language. And that's the language and the culture will leave. And someone from youtube who watched that wrote what he thinks. I will not delete that comment and leave it for the record. He/she has the right to write what ever he/she wants, I have the right to react the way I want. ☺ I just asked him where he is from. Let's see what he/she will reply. And the same is happening to all Russians around the world, in every social media. People are angry at as just for being Russians, or living in Russia. The mass media is telling them that we are, regular people are the one to blame for everything. And they are like zombies attacking every Russian, even if he/she talks something not related at all with politics. The same is happening with this lady : https://youtu.be/PYmIabGGGPQ She said in one of her videos that she was told that she is a criminal because she keeps living in Russia. Imagine that. Watch in the begging in of the video how she said : During the last months I recieved so many threats to stop my channel about the criminal culture. But I'm just continuing to share life of regular people, like me, and our culture. And I want to show you that not all Russia is evil as many of you think. And maybe this video will help you to understand the so-called mystirous Russian soul. I'm also still trying to understand it, because many things that I will be talking about have no logic at all, but we simply have them in Russia. And she has a big group of people from all around the world who were just learning Russian language all the time. They like the language, the culture and Russian people they met in their lives. https://youtu.be/ndAsRLNP8Yw Here is another one talking about the hate toward Russians. She is right about not pretending that nothing is happening. She is right that it's not a game of politicians anymore. People are just not letting themselves think. They just hate. And she said in the video that she never supported the government, and it's all because of the media. She is so surprised of the media telling people that most Russians are supporting this. She is right about many people who never even visited another country and they only care about their regular people. Anyway, I'm glad Russian people start talking. Even in youtube. People are hurt. They are psychologically attacked. The culture is under attack. Just like she said that Russia is not the Russian government. It's not true that most Russians are supporting what's going on. I will do everything to keep supporting this people. I'm Russian, and I'm proud of being Russian. If you have a problem with that, it's your problem, but not mine ! Discrimination is not good ! You always talked about that, why it's ok to discriminate to Russians. The girl is crying, and I have tears in my eyes as well. I cry as well even being a 37 years old man ! Hear her crying. She is young. She can't even stop that. *It's not about politicians anymore. People are hating each other. And the media is working very well to make that hate even bigger.* **They keep dividing and conquering.** Stop buying that please !

Questions on politics in the topic of the day | Translating from Russian *Recently, I asked the Russian community a few questions about politics.* I would like to share the translation of the entry of @stdd from Belarus. Here is his original post : Вопросы по политике в теме дня.. https://ecency.com/@stdd https://ecency.com/hive-166239/@stdd/voprosy-po-politike-v-teme Of course I asked his permission to translate his post. And he allowed me to do so ! **Here is the translation :** *Should we discuss politics at all ?* We live in a free world, no matter how ridiculous it sounds now. But still I like one saying: "The freedom of one person ends where the freedom of another person begins." Unfortunately, I don't know who said it, but I really like it. Returning to politics: everyone is free to do what he likes, as long as he doesn’t openly interfere with the territory of another person. For myself, I decided that I would not condemn any opinion. I will not impose my opinion. If I have nothing to respond positively or on the merits, then I'll just skip it. After all, I still will not convince any of you if you do not want it. *Is it necessary to disclose your political idea?* If it helps someone, then why not? If you think that you are doing good with this, then why not? But if you see that every time unrest begins around what you said about politics, then maybe you shouldn’t start this conversation. These are questions rather to myself that I have been asking these 5 months. And again, I came to the conclusion for myself that I would not shake the feelings of another person. I won't help anyone with this. *Do you need to build your relationship on political grounds?* Definitely no! But is it possible in this world? I think it is unrealistic to do this if you are not the Dalai Lama, Buddha or someone like that. But on the other hand, if you are enlightened, then there is no politics in your world. There is nothing at all in it, for the most part. Do I agree to be drawn into these waves of negativity when discussing any issues that shake not only my psyche, but also the interlocutor? No, that's why I skip those topics and get out. Do I get it fast? No, but it's getting better every day, I'm working on it. Does it mean that my prejudices will affect my attitude towards you and your posts? No, if it does not concern negativity or aggression in any of their manifestations ... *Is it okay to hate people for their political point of view?* In general, you don't have to hate anyone for anything. This world is our reflection. I came to this recently. And now, when I feel like that, I dive into myself and look for this trait there, which launches this pendulum. And you know, I always find it. So every day I change myself. And I see how the world around is changing. But nothing has changed. Only my preconceived notions have become a little less... Is it ok to deprive a good author of the support for expressing his point of view? If we are talking about what to deprive the author on an ongoing basis, even if you really like the post, for past judgments? That answer is no. We make mistakes every day and in many ways. If you are not mistaken, then you are the Almighty! And I'm coming to you! So that you can teach me the same way. Well, the truth is, I look back and wonder how sure I was about some things. And now I understand that I'm not even sure about what I'm writing now. But this gives me the opportunity to look at a person every time, as for the first time. No judgment. The most correct point of view of a thing is before judgment! *If a person simply lives in a non-likable country, is he / she guilty of anything?* I live in Belarus, am I to blame for this? I don't think it's a matter of guilt. It's a matter of choice! If you chose what you wanted, then you will feel comfortable anywhere. Be it a country, a job or a relationship. There will be many people who will consider you guilty or vice versa. And this is their choice. But is it really that important to you if you know what you're doing? Absolutely nothing matters if I am in harmony with myself. No words or actions will make me answer you with insults, even if I hear them addressed to me. Promise! I'm really thankful to the author. I even find him a like-minded person. *That was of course in my opinion an entry from most Russian-speaking people who think very well.* **I would say that the entry is professional. From someone having an experience in all this.** I also was a part of that and still. There will always be space for improvement !
