Childhood never been so different

I was born 1976. 1980 is my childhood years. The time when all kids in the neighborhood plays together. Simple life and yet so much fun and full of memories. Bahay bahayan, tago taguan, pitik mata, doktor kwak kwak, jumping rope, chinese garter, piko, patintero, sipa, sikyo, bugtong bugtong, tula at balagtasan, kantahan, tex, laste, holen, tumbang lata, walang katapusang kwentuhan at katatawanan. These are some of the things we do and play during childhood time. I remember doing those things under the trees, at the frontyard, backyard, in the farm and even at the road not much cars or vehicles that time. Everything was changed and some are forgotten... Cellphones, tablets, computers, internet/wifi, yahoo, googles, facebook, twitter, online games, phone games and many more... are the things kids do now a days. I felt like they missed so much fun, experience and memories but guess what... I never thought that it will be a sort of preparation for this pandemic... so sad that even education will be home based but better for safety I wonder how would it be this pandemic with out the digital world, everything would have been more complicated and could have been more difficult. Pandemic ... kids cannot even go outside. Luckily digital world give them something to do. i hope they use it for something educational, beneficial or anything helpful. Missin' my childhood days. But for now stay at home, be safe... Time will come, looking forward to the New Normal...When you look outside the window, children are there, playing again with the neighborhood...
