At the school earlier, while waiting for the kids to come out, I pick some "pipinong gubat" or creeping cucumber and blue ternate flowers to make some tea. The blue ternate plant is full of flowers and next to it there is a creeping cucumber hanging on the fence. I enjoy picking these free edible plants to enjoy at home. For my fellow countrymen "pipinong gubat" can be seen around us in grassy areas. Some of us are not familiar with this and thinking that it is poisonous. Pipinong gubat can be eaten when unripe (green colour), do not eat the ripe one or the purple/black colour. Before going to bed, I will make a tea made with these lovely flowers. I want to learn how to make tea out of flowers. I don't know what is pipinong gubat😥
You can pick it up fresh or use dry flowers and then just pour hot water on the flower on the mug and enjoy drinking. You can search for flowers that can be used in tea
