There is a difference between being proud of yourself and just being boastful. It is good sharing nice things about you. It is good talking about your achievements. But, do not talk highly about thyself.
I can really determine if a person is just proudly sharing their achievements and what they've got or they are boasting about it. And I hate that. I hate that some talks too highly about themselves when in fact they do not have to do that if they think they're successful already. If you think you have everything others don't have, sit down and be quiet. If you are successful, your actions will do the talking and not your mouth. If you are doing great, your work will do its thing to be praised not your tongue.
Normalize being simple and humble while succeeding, because that is what makes you more inspiring and worth complimenting.

Humility is actually a virtue and a humble person usually shows mercy and compassion. We can also gain a lot of benefits from being humble. First of all, if we are humble we know our limitations and when someone extends a helping hand, we will surely feel grateful and joyful. Humility will also help us gain real friends because being humble makes us acknowledge that other people who are better than us, acknowledge their good qualities and with that in mind, we can show confidence in them.
