is worth a better train to travel longer distances?
I'm not sure if the train alone will give you longer distance. I think the conductor plays also a role. You can look on atomichub for cheap ones. I bought a bunch when I started but I'm not that deep in this game. @cybergrinder can tell more probably.

I use this one.. it's not the best but was affordable when I started. I think I bought a few of these ones, which are currently staked.
look at the distance icon for both, trains and conductors and bear in mind that those values change for your train as you upgrade them. But yes, different trains (number of gears), different stats
