A popular person is someone who is respected, adored, or admired by others. Others want to be connected with them, and they have a large circle of acquaintances. In their peer group, a popular individual usually has a high social status.

Some people are well-liked because they are pleasant to be around. People appreciate being around them because they have positive personality attributes including trustworthiness, friendliness, and attentiveness. Others are well-liked due of their social standing. This could be due to a person's appearance, achievement, or riches.

Being a celebrity, or just famous, has its own set of benefits and drawbacks. The popular perception is that celebrities and well-known individuals have it all. Isn't it true that the grass is always greener on the other side?

The truth is that there are just as many disadvantages and drawbacks to becoming a celebrity as there are perks. Who says being famous is always a good time? Decide for yourself by reading this article.

Major Advantages of Being Popular

Everywhere they go, celebrities are given special treatment. Isn't it a foregone conclusion that someone like Selena Gomez or Justin Bieber will be treated better than other customers at a restaurant? Celebrities are given the advantage of being the favored clients everywhere they go, from special seats in movies to exclusive tables at restaurants. Wouldn't it be great if you were given priority entrance to nightclubs or front-row seats at award ceremonies? Of course you would—that is precisely why the perk of celebrity is so appealing.

Being well-known usually entails a higher net worth. One of the most obvious benefits of celebrity is that it usually brings a lot of money. Celebrities and other well-known individuals are typically wealthier than the average Joe. When people become famous celebrities, their dream mansions and vehicles, elegant gifts, rich clothes, and other materialistic joys of life become a reality. Celebrities have been known to own entire islands in addition to homes. If you have any worries about whether celebrities are really wealthy, watch an episode of MTV Cribs, and all your qualms will vanish. Watch the episode that features 50 Cent's mansion, cars, and lifestyle in detail.

Everywhere they go, celebrities are recognized. Everywhere they go, celebrities are recognized. This is advantageous since random onlookers sometimes give folks a huge ego boost when they identify them. It's a terrific occasion to brag to a pal, "Gee, I'm so popular. Everyone knows me." Most seasoned celebrities, of course, quickly get over this initial ego boost. Being recognized, noticed, and photographed, on the other hand, is a rush and a wonderful massage to the egos of certain renowned individuals.

Fans follow celebrities and well-known persons. The folks who idolize their celebrity idols are known as fans. They may have celebrity crushes or simply admire their stars in real life. Celebrities' fan mail and other kinds of appreciation can be inspiring, motivating, and downright humbling. Who wouldn't want their own adoring admirers, followers, and worshipers?

When someone become renowned, they have a lot of opportunities. When people become renowned, they have additional options in life, whether they are related to their profession or not. Michael Jordan, for example, made a fortune not only by playing basketball. He has served as the face of Nike and promoted a number of other products. Kim Kardashian, for example, can afford to invest in newer businesses such as designer garments and perfumes simply because she is recognized and can afford to support and advertise them. Being famous opens numerous doors in life that might have remained closed if fame had not been attained. Many celebrities start their own businesses as soon as they reach celebrity status.

Major Disadvantages of Being Popular

Famous people are unable to perform tasks that the typical person is capable of. What do you think would happen if Paris Hilton went grocery shopping on a regular basis? She'd be surrounded and pursued for autographs and photos. Celebrities and other well-known persons are unable to live ordinary lives. They may be compelled to live in their own private world, unable to do things that the average Joe can. Being famous has the downside of preventing celebrities from partaking in the simple pleasures of life, which may be quite irritating. These are some of life's modest pleasures:

Being well-known or a celebrity can bring stalkers your way. We've all heard about celebrity stalking situations that have spiraled out of control. Famous people are regularly followed or tormented by admirers or followers who go overboard and become obsessed over the phone, email, or mail.. Threats and even physical damage can arise from obsession.

A celebrity's position can attract an excessive number of phony pals. From a celebrity's standpoint, separating a real individual who wants to be friends from the millions who want tobe friends who may wish to befriend them for personal gain has become quite difficult. As one could expect, scrutinizing each and every person that enters their lives would be a nerve-wracking process. It would entail being on high alert 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year.

Celebrities are frequently judged. Celebrities are continuously judged by tabloids, magazines, newspapers, blogs, and other types of media based on their personalities, habits, bodies, and a variety of other factors. A celebrity's everyday routine includes reading humiliating, unpleasant, nasty, insulting, and negative lies about themselves. It's like having a million people talking behind your back on a regular basis, from a layperson's perspective. Consider how hard-hitting this would be if a tabloid focused on your weight or sleazy behavior.

Celebrities are not allowed to enjoy any privacy. If Kim Kardashian goes out in a swimsuit on the shores of Miami to enjoy some rays, the entire world will be aware of it. If Arnold Schwarzenegger goes on a motorbike ride on a sunny day, images of him will be splattered across the headlines. If Paris Hilton and her boyfriend have a spat in a nightclub, the entire world will hear about it. Do you see what I mean? One of the most serious drawbacks of being a celebrity is the lack of privacy.

Finally, I'd want to say Fame should be a blessing, but it can also be a burden if not handled appropriately. What you create of fame, and what you receive out of it, is largely determined by your maturity and exposure. It's kind of like a two-edged sword.

Popularity really matters but in some sense I don't want haha. I want to remain anonymous and simple. People want fame yet when they got the title they began to look for privacy. Geez.. simple is perfect thou.

Right? Being popular is kinda great but to some extent. You cannot really live your life to the fullest if that was the case. I rather live anonymously as well.
