I have a question for all of us: Whenever we make known our prayers to God, do we expect and truly believe in our hearts that He will answer? Or do we just halfheartedly pray for the sake of saying it and still take matters in our own hands to fulfill it in our own way and in our own time? If you are getting tired of praying the same thing over and over and yet havent seen a speck of its fulfillment, “Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for Him” (Psalm 37:7). His ways and thoughts are way better than what you can imagine (Isaiah 55:8) for He has made everything fit beautifully in its perfect time (ecclesiastes 3:11). Our God is in the move. What He has promised, He will surely fulfill. (Hebrews 10:23). The key to not be impatient in waiting for the promise is to look away from it and look at the Promise-giver Himself. There is more to what He is than what He can do. The best reward is God Himself and not our answered prayers. And to those of you who are having a hard time expressing in words the cries of your hearts, remember that the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know what to pray for as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. (Romans 8:26) He lovingly created us. He knows us more than we know ourselves. May we be assured that even if we feel like we are lost for words and lost in our own thoughts, His love and grace continually abounds. Remember this: You are seen and heard. He has not forgotten about you and you will never be. Have faith. Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. (1 Thes 5:16-18). Know in your heart that whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”(Mark 11:22-24) This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. (1 John 5:14) And the most important thing is seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things, all these prayers, spoken and unspoken- will be provided for you. (Matt. 6:33) It could be different from the way you wanted but way better and greater than what you can ever think of. For what no one ever saw or heard, what no one ever thought could happen, is the very thing God prepared for those who love Him. (1 Cor 2:9) credits not mine
