I couldn’t believe you in April when you said you’re tired of everything, of us. Your voice was almost breaking, like you’re about to spurt either laughter or tears. I asked you why, and you paused for a moment. You said you weren’t happy anymore and I waited for the punchline, but it seemed there wasn’t any. I couldn’t believe you in April because we were just starting over in February. Perhaps, I was completely blinded laughing with you that I didn’t see whenever you secretly stop smiling. And in March, you said yes to me—were you just lying? If not, then how could I possibly miss the signs? In your utter silence, I asked again. This time, it was my voice that’s almost breaking, begging for the punchline. But you said you just changed your mind, in April. That you didn’t mean to say yes.
