Hi. I don’t know the exact situation you are in now. But if you are that person who is still smiling and saying that you are fine, even if deep inside you are hurting, I just want to let you know that It is okay to admit that you are weak. It is okay to cry. It is okay to be vulnerable. It is okay to not be okay. I remembered one story. My story. I am a christian. I do spend time with the Lord every single day. I serve in the church and outside with the gifts God has entrusted me. But did you know that not because I am a christian I do not suffer too? I do. We all do. I have my share of heartaches too. My spirit gets crushed at times as well. There are moments that I just want to be alone and relive the pain. Yes, there are times that I feel like I want to isolate myself too. During those times, I just cry out to God and ask Him the big question “Why?” And in those painful moments of my vulnerability, of my weakness, I remember this verse- “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” (Psalm 34:18) In this world wherein strength and perfection are glorified, I am thankful for knowing the truth that I do not need to conform in this pattern. That the more that I will boast my weakness, Christ’s power is more magnified. The more helpless i feel, the more i will see His help. The stronger my pleas and cries to God, the greatest is His assurance that I am under His loving eye. That my battles are not anymore my own to carry and fight for alone. I remembered another story. The story weaved not just in my story but yours too. Remember Jesus being crucified in the cross? It was His weakest moment yet that is the moment that showed God’s greatest power. The power that saved all those who believe in Him. That is the perfect picture that weakness is strength after all. My prayer for all of us today is that, may we not be afraid to show our authentic selves, our authentic feelings- our authentic hearts not just to those people around us but most especially to God. He can heal our shattered hearts. Everytime we get broken, we can come as we are to Him. There is no shame. There is no judgment in the arms of our Father. It is okay if healing takes time. It is okay even to ask for help. It is okay to not be okay. God loves us so much that He will never let us be in the same place of hurt for long. And who knows, the story of our pain amd vulnerability can bring healing to others too. For all I know is this- no matter what, God can turn it to good because He is a good Father who loves His children, in their strongest and in even in their weakest. credits not mine
