Our God is still seated on the throne and He sees everything. He is sovereign over the rulers of this world, sovereign over our families and much more sovereign over our lives (sickness, financial crisis, relationships and even in those situations people know nothing about). We are in the palm of God’s hands. The same hands that stretched out the heavens and healed with a touch belong to the One whose hands were nailed on the cross for our sake, so that we may live in pure joy as we continue to remain in Him. May this give us strength and peace to endure. We may not understand the answer to all our questions for now but one thing that remains constant and sure is that He loves us with an everlasting love. That is the kind of love that will always hold us up securely even in the midst of sorrow and pain felt even in the depths of our hearts. — “Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands.” (Isaiah 49:16) Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand. (Isaiah 41:10) Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:4-7)
