People will always read?

We are living in the times when everything is popping out and trying to get your attention,as a result we have shortened our attention span as a race over time.Generations before internet used to read books as their primary source of all information,there were no video tutorials or any kind of visual help as there is today and I believe it was much better way of personal education. Today we believe we have information on our palm but is it really like that? I strongly believe it is quite opposite.Today everything is connected to money,especially online where we have opportunities to earn from practically everything we post and decide to monetize it.That approach brings us at a stage where quality of information is not important at all,only that matters is to get viral with your stuff and to continue posting often as you can. Most viral source of information today are social networks where people are posting absolutely everything,from food plates to funny videos and explaining their stance about everything but still those are just glimpses of what books was before all this. When some author decides to write book he already studied the subject completely long before writing his first page,that way writer can be sure to finish the book keeping the focus on given subject and in the same time give to a reader a big sum of usable information that can't be questioned.Of course that's not always the case but still if you are eager to find information of particular subject you will find it sooner or later. My experience today with finding valuable information online was never fully successful.There are lot of places where you can search but still there is no full information on a given subject.Whole mechanism goes like this : I will give you some basic knowledge about subject,if you are interested you must pay to be brought to online seminar or give your email address so you can be redirected to buy his book and here we are again at the beginning,as old saying goes "all roads lead to Rome". Main problem with this approach is fact that more than 80% of those authors are just trying to earn money and not to really inform people,they are informing them but that's not the main objective so the quality of given information can't be compared with old books written when people had more time and certainly had more sense in their heads than they have today,but the question was : Will people always read? Answer is yes,no matter what times we are living in,people will always read articles,news,books and all kind of information that writing can deliver them.Interesting fact when we look at all those video streams,animations and whole spectrum of given formats people still choose to read and I believe that can't be changed no matter what so our main goal as a human race is to be careful how we value written information as those are most important bits of our reality.Good quality book will stand a test of time for sure,real question is can we respect that or will we repeat our mistakes from before and burn libraries as that one in Alexandria?Time will tell....
