Christians: Delayed Obedience Is Still Disobedience
Sunday night I heard something that's really stuck with me. "Delayed obedience is still disobedience." To quote my little sister "Ouch, Amen". I never really thought about it like that but it's very true. The last couple of months I've felt like I've been a million miles away from God. Spiritually I've felt alone, left behind, and abandoned. Even though I know that God has promised to never leave me or forsaken me I just couldn't shake these feelings. A lot of times when God speaks something to me I'm like a rebellious child and I'll fight, kick, scream, and cry the whole time I'm doing what He tells me to do. I really hate to admit it but sometimes I won't listen to what He's telling me because it's not what I want. I pray for God to help me grow stronger and closer to Him but then I delay my obedience or just all together ignore Him. I don't know what's worse my disobedience or not realizing how disobedient that I've been. The last few weeks I've felt like I'm on a upswing and heading in the right direction. You know it's a wonderful thing to feel God's presence and the anointing of the Holy Ghost in the room but it's a whole different level to feel God's presence and the anointing of the Holy Ghost inside of you. I'm coming to a better understanding of the importance of being obedient, reading the Word, praying, and fasting. I've heard people talk about these things my whole life but until now I've never truly understood.
**I want to end by giving honor where honor is due. Thank you Abba Father for keeping your hand upon me and my life. Thank you Jesus for being my Lord and Savior and for dying on the cross so that I could have eternal life. Thank you Holy Spirit for giving me guidance, discipline, comfort, and for being so much more to me than just a tongue talker.**

Christians: You cannot physically be born a Christian
You can physically be born a Muslim. You can physically be born a Jew. You cannot physically be born a Christian. Being a Christian isn't about the family you are born into. Being a Christian isn't about the church you attend. Being a Christian isn't about the good deeds you've done. Being a Christian is all about having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and following his teachings.
Over 2 billion people in the world profess to be Christian. Jesus tells us in John Ch13:35-35 (34) A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. (35) By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. Jesus also tells us in Luke Ch6:27-28 (27) But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, (28) Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you. So my question is if as Christians or disciples of Christ we are commanded to love everyone why are there so many people ,who have professed to be Christian for many years, posting hate filled memes and messages.
When I was growing up I remember hearing people say you have to love the sinner but not the sin. As Christians we should be showing the sinners of this world the unconditional love of Jesus Christ. When Jesus commands us to love one another that includes the drug addicts, the homosexuals, the prostitutes, the rapists, the murders, the atheists, and yes even the Muslims and Jews.
**I want end by giving honor where honor is due. Thank you Abba Father for keeping your hand upon me and my life. Thank you Jesus for being my Lord and Savior and for laying down your life so that I could have eternal life. Thank you Holy Spirit for guidance, discipline, comfort, and for being so much more than just a tongue talker.**

So I guess I am now officially a blogger😁. First thing is first I'd like to introduce myself my name is Brian. I'm 48 years old and I am a born again covenant believer in my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I was born in Columbus, Ohio home of The Ohio State Buckeyes and I was raised in southwestern West Virginia. I'm a former drug addict, drug dealer, sex addict, alcoholic, and many other horrible things but God has delivered me from all that bondage. I'm a husband, father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, nephew, but most importantly I am a child of the one and only true living God.
I have many interest including the Bible, stocks, cryptocurrency, sports, and southern cooking. I'm really not sure what I will be blogging about I could go into many different directions so I ask everyone to just please bear with me. I'll do my best not to go down any rabbit holes. I do have ADD so no promises.😂🤣😂 If you haven't already noticed I do like to joke around and have a good time. I love "Dad" jokes and I do have a sarcastic sense of humor so I don't expect everyone to get me.
Now I just want to say I'm not one of those types of people that just ramble on so I intend to keep my post short and sweet unless I have something of importance to share. Hopefully all my blogs will be able to be read within 1 to 3 minutes. With all that being said I look forward to sharing my thoughts and opinions with all you guys.
