My brother got married 11-11-2020. Pretty obvious why he chose the date besides the fact that his birth month is November. Originally, his wife-to-be back then wanted a civil ceremony but my brother insisted on having a church wedding. I always thought it is the woman who wants the ceremony officiated by a priest but it is the opposite in their case. What is the difference between civil and church wedding? Civil ceremony is a non-religious marriage between two people performed by a legal representative like mayor or judge. Church wedding is presided by a priest or any religious leader which is usually formal and include readings from the bible, hymns and prayers. My brother's wedding is the first wedding I attended where people wear masks and had to distance themselves from one another. All guests were wary of the ongoing pandemic and just happened to have no choice but to attend and celebrate with my family. His wedding became memorable not only because of the date but also because the couple have shown that no virus can stop them from exchanging their vows. How about you?
