I know this isn't a laughing matter but I won't deny that this is how I first reacted >>>🤭🤭🤭 I ENCOURAGE all crypto noobs like me to read articles about cryptocurrencies and follow users who posts BCH and other coins related topics. So my friend texted me yesterday about Coins.ph being down and upon checking, indeed, it was undergoing maintenance. She was so worried 'cause she has some money on her Peso wallet from remittances and a fair amount on her BCH wallet. Segue: You can receive Western Union transfers on Coins.ph. Just need to put the MTCN and amount. So after some time, app was up and we're able to access it. My friend texted me again telling me her wallet was hacked and I was like 😲 She said her peso wallet was intact, thank goodness, but lost a big amount on her BCH and I was like "Did you check the transaction history?" Then after a few minutes it dawned on me. Her account wasn't hacked. It was due to the dip. And so I had to discuss with her the topic of 'volatility'. Again I did this >>🤭🤭🤭 but it taught me a LESSON. •Always read and research if you would enter the world of cryptocurrency. •No wallet is safe. They can get hacked or stolen. Just make sure you keep everything safe and secured (private keys, passwords, pins etc.) •Share your knowledge especially to newbies. If you only know the basics, still share them.
