Freedom of speech is the most basic practice of freedom, speak out loud, whatever you say, words have never killed anyone for as long as you speak calm and truthful it is a gift of information. Gaslighting is a very common practice as many still believe that "insults" are worth violent physical punishment, but even a direct insult can only harm these who want to be harmed or who want to take that as an excuse for their own depressed mind. Anyway I recommend to avoid any word that is a clear insult, like a$$hole or cunt, better choose words that transmit a message the other can learn something from like, stupid or nonsense, talk about general facts, never about specific people to avoid all conflicts that may arise. Edward Snowden gave up his life in the USA after revealing the truth in 2013, then moved to a more liberal country like Russia that gave him asylum to protect freedom of speech.
