"And upon her forehead was a name written, mystery,Babylon the great;”

                                                                                        Rev. 17: 5

"And upon her forehead was a name written, mystery,Babylon the great;

We have already said that "Babylon" will be very important in the last days, so let's see in more detail why, that is, to say something more about the "system" that will rule then.

The word Babylon is mentioned in the Bible about 260 times and it is an indication that it is significant for some reason

If we want to start from the beginning, we must go back to the very beginning. In Genesis, chapter four, we read that Cain killed his brother Abel.

"Then Cain spoke to Abel his brother. But when they were in the field, Cain jumped on Abel his brother and killed him. "

                                                                                         Gen. 4: 8

and then later Cain built a city and gave it the name Enoch.

"And Cain knew his wife, and she conceived and bore Enoch. And he built the city, and called it by the name of his son Enoch. "

                                                                                        Gen. 4:17

Here are the roots of Cain's first "civilization" before the flood and it was a materialistic and apostate "civilization" and later God wiped them off the face of the earth by the flood but eight people were saved: Noah and his three sons: Shem, Ham and Japheth and their wives. When the flood waters receded the boat stopped on Mount Ararat and then we read:

"And the sons of Noah, which came out of the ark, were Shem, and Ham, and Japheth; and Ham is the father of the Canaanites. "

                                                                                        Genesis 9:18

The only thing that is said here is whose father is Ham, and he does not write about the other brothers, and we read further:

"These are the three sons of Noah, and from them all the earth dwelt."

                                                                                        Gen. 9:19

So today all people are descended from these three sons of Noah. And then we read further:

"And Noah began to work the land, and he planted a vineyard. And he drank of the wine, and was drunken; And Ham, the father of the Canaanites, saw his father's nakedness, and told both his brethren in the field.

                                                                                        Gen. 9: 20-22

And later when Noah woke up:

..And when Noah awoke from his wine, he knew what his younger son had done to him.

                                                                                        Gen. 9: 24-25

At that time, the father could bless or curse his descendants, so we read that Noah cursed not only Ham but also Canaan, and that is the reason why he writes, "Ham is the father of the Canaanites." The God of Shem, and Canaan to be his servant: God shall spread Japheth to dwell in the tents of Shem, and Canaan shall be their servant.

                                                                                       Gen. 9: 26-27

The following entry is in the tenth chapter where he writes about Hama:

"And the sons of Ham; Hus, and Mesrain, and Fud, and Canaan."

                                                                                       Gen. 10: 6

and finally:

                        “Hus also gave birth to Neurod; and he was the first on the earth;

                                                                                       Gen. 10: 8

Nevrod means outlaw and he comes from the cursed lineage of Hama and we read that he was the first "mighty on earth;" of course against God because we have already seen that he is "cursed" and such a man can only fight against God and His authority and he tried to organize people in the fight against God and he was successful in that because he writes:

“He was a good hunter before the Lord; therefore it is said: A good hunter before the Lord as Neurod. "

                                                                                      Gen. 10: 9

Since he was successful in apostasy, after a while he organized his people and became their king.

"And the beginning of his kingdom was Babylon, and Walnut, and Arhad, and Halan in the land of Shinar."

                                                                                      Gen. 10:10

For us, Babylon is important, in which the "organized" rebellion began, so we read:

"And there was one language and one word in the whole earth. And it came to pass, as they departed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Senar, and dwelt there. And bricks were for them instead of stone, and resin for earth instead of lime. Then they said, "Let us build a city and a tower, the top of which will be to the heavens, let us make a name for ourselves, so that we may not be scattered over the earth."

                                                                                      Gen. 11: 1-4

This, "lest we be scattered over the earth," is contrary to what was in God's plan because God said:

“And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them; be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth;

                                                                                      Gen. 9: 1

But Nimrod, contrary to God's plan, planned to build Babylon, which in Hebrew is called Wawel, and is composed of two words, Waw and El. translation would be a door to God.

They planned to build a city and then a tower and they thought that they would reach God with their hands and deeds and thus avoid the curse, but here God intervenes because this is contrary to God's will and plan.

According to history, Nevrod's wife was called Semiramis and she played a very important role alongside Neurod and Semiramis became the first priestess of this "temple" or tower. When she gave birth to her first child, she announced that she gave birth to him as a "virgin" she conceived by means of the "ray of the sun" and that her son was the "son of God" and his name was Tammuz, and since his birth every Babylonian should have worn a chain around his neck with the letter T as Tammuz.

According to legend, Tammuz grew up and a wild boar killed him and his mother cried for him for forty days and he rose from the dead.

It is also believed that she was the "mother of mystical rites" and even immoral, and for that purpose she dedicated virgins to religious prostitution.

And of course all of this was contrary to God’s plan, will, and revelation so we can read what the reaction was to all of this:

"Let's go down and sweep their tongues so they don't understand what they're saying." So the Lord scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth, and built no city.

                                                                                     Genesis 11: 7-8

And now God scattered them on the earth, but they took the "spirit and religion of Babylon" with them, so wherever they went, they nurtured the cult of Semiramis and Tammuz, but under other names, so they called Semiramis Astareth, Aphrodite, Venus, Diana, etc. and Tammuz Eros, Val, and so "poisoned" many nations, which is why it is written in Revelation:

"For he watered all the nations with the poisonous wine of his fornication."

                                                                                      Rev. 18: 2

Satan spread his "seed" of evil through Ham and on the other hand God worked through Sam to give birth to Abraham who lived at the time when this "seed of evil" was born and when Semiramis died Abraham was about fifty years old .God calls Abram from this very region to leave him and later from him creates the nation of Israel.

Later, God commanded Abraham and his seed to inhabit Canaan and they had to exterminate the Canaanites because of the "poisonous faith of the Babylonian religion" but the Jews did not do it properly, did not expel them from the land and then the Canaanite religion "took root" and rules problems for Israelis. Here is what it says:

"Therefore the king thought, and made two calves of gold, and said to the people, 'You shall no longer go to Jerusalem; behold, thy gods, O Israel, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt. And set one in Bethel, and set the other in Dan. And that would be a sin, because the people went to one until the Day. And he built the house on high, and ordained priests of the common people, which were not of the children of Levi.

                                                                                                 1 Kings 12:28

This was the Babylonian religion that the Israelites brought to Egypt, and the prophet Jeremiah warned them to worship and practice it:

"What he has said to us in the name of the Lord, we will not listen to you; And we will do all things that went out of our mouths, burning incense to the queen of heaven, and pouring out her drink, as we did, even our fathers, our kings, and our princes in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem: for we were full of bread and good and evil. We have not seen. And when we burn incense to the queen of heaven and pour her rains, do we bake cakes for her without our leaders, serving her and pouring rains on her? "

                                                                                        Jer.44: 16-19

The queen of heaven is mentioned here, and that is actually Semiramis, who is respected as a goddess, and in her part they smoked and baked cakes and rejected the true God because they believed that when they respect her like that, she helps them, and when they don't, then help is lacking.

The following example:

"And Ahab the son of Amri did evil in the sight of the Lord more than all that were before him. And it came to pass, when he had walked in the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, that he married Jezebel the daughter of Etbal king of Sidon, and went and served Bala, and worshiped him. and Ahab did more than all the kings of Israel that were before him, to provoke the Lord God of Israel to anger.

                                                                                         1 Kings, 16: 30-33

Mention is made here of a grove dedicated to Astareta or Semiramis to the goddess or empress of heaven and the god Val (god of the sun) is the son of Semiramis or Tammuz they just changed their name to "life-giver" and because of him and his mother Semiramis a cult was born and here's what was happening:

"And he brought me to the gate of the house of the Lord, which is from the north; and, behold, the women sat and wept for Tammuz. And he said unto me, Hast thou seen, my son? You'll still see bigger bastards than those. And he brought me into the inner court of the house of the Lord; And, behold, at the entrance of the church of the Lord between the porch and the altar were about twenty and five men, with their backs to the church of the Lord, facing east, and bowing to the sun toward the east.

                                                                                         Ezekiel 8.14-16

In addition to this, they had a fast of forty days before the feast of Ishtar, and it was "weeping" for the murdered Tammuz until the "alleged day of his resurrection" and they also gave gifts to each other and here is what God says;

"Then he said to me, 'Have you seen, son of man?' Is it not enough for the house of Judah that they make these bastards that they do here? He still filled the land with violence and turned to tease me; and behold, they hold the branch before their noses. Therefore will I also be wroth, and will not have compassion on mine eye, neither will I have pity: and when they cry aloud in my ears, I will not hear them.

                                                                                         Ezekiel 8: 17-18

And so after this, the people of Israel were sent into Babylonian captivity, and among the people was Daniel, who was faithful to the true God, and when the king interpreted the writing on the wall by God's hand, the king said to him:

"... So, if you can read this letter and tell me what it means, you will put on a scarlet, and wear a gold chain around your neck, ..."

                                                                                          Daniel 5:16

We have already mentioned this and it is about the emperor promising him that he will be dressed in a "scarlet and will have a gold chain" or will have the letter T on the chain, the symbol of Tammuz. Of course, Danilo refused and told him:

"Then Daniel answered and said before the king, Let thy gifts be unto thee, and give thy gifts to others; and I will read the letter to the king and say what it means. "

                                                                                         Daniel 5:17

but not everyone was like Danilo.

Here is another example, when the Philistines captured the ark of the Lord and put it in the temple of the god Dagon, who was half man and half fish. In the temple, priests served with mitres on their heads as a sign of a fish head or fish mouth, and here is what happened:

"And the Philistines took the ark of God, and carried it from the lake even to Azot. And the Philistines took the ark of God, and brought it into the house of Dagon, and set it over against Dagon. And it came to pass on the morrow, that the Azores rose up early; and they took Dagon, and put him in his place again. And when he rose up early the next day, behold, Dagon lay upon his face in the earth before the ark of the Lord, and Dagon's head and his two hands were cut off on the threshold; only the corpse of Dagon was left. Therefore the priests of Dagon, and whoever enters the house of Dagon, do not stand on the threshold of Dagon in Azot until today. Then the hand of the Lord weighed on the Azores, and they had to strike them with their heels in Azot and its borders. And when the people of Azos saw what was done, they said that the ark of the God of Israel was not with us; for his hand is heavy upon us, and upon Dagon our god. And he sent and gathered all the princes of the Philistines unto him, and said unto them, What shall we do with the ark of the God of Israel? And they said, Let the ark of the God of Israel be brought to Gath. And they carried the ark of the God of Israel. "

                                                                                         1 Sam.5: 1-8

These are just some examples from the Old Testament that show how the Babylonian religion spread even among God's people, and if that was the case with the people who should have known God, the conclusion is clear that the situation with the pagans was even worse.
