,, And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty [and] four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads. And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps: And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred [and] forty [and] four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth. These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, [being] the firstfruits unto God and to the LambAnd in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God.”

                                                                                                    Rev. 14: 1-5

"And I beheld, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount of Zion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having the name of his Father written on their foreheads."

Last time we talked about the "hell trinity" and the false prophet and what they will do and now we have something completely different. "And I saw, and behold, the Lamb was standing" after those beasts from last time now we see the Lamb standing and that is actually the Lord Jesus Christ who stands victoriously and manages events, although it will seem to some that events take place spontaneously, but we have seen so far that everything that happens happens because God gave permission for something to happen. We do not know much we don't even know the reasons exactly why God allows something and something doesn't, but we are sure that God surely knows what he is doing, so our comment on the events is superfluous.

We said that the Lamb is the Lord Jesus, and that is what John the Baptist said when he saw Jesus;

,, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.”

                                                                                                  John 1:29

and in Revelation Jesus is called the Lamb in several places.

,,…  and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.”

                                                                                                    Revelation 5: 6

,, And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four [and] twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints.”

                                                                                                     Revelation 5: 8

,, Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing. And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, [be] unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.”

                                                                                                      Rev.5: 12-13

,, And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals,”

                                                                                                       Rev. 6: 1

,, And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:”

                                                                                                       Rev. 6:16

,, After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.”

                                                                                                       Rev. 7: 9-10

,, And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.”

                                                                                                        Rev. 7:14

,, For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.”

                                                                                                        Rev. 7:17

So we have seen that Jesus is called the crucified Lamb and then the glorified Lamb then the Lamb who governs the events on earth and finally we have the exalted Lamb and all these are names that refer to Jesus and what He really is and what He does and we have in our text victorious Lamb, "The Lamb stood on the Mount of Zion"

Mount Zion is the highest hill in Jerusalem, and from this place the Lord Jesus will rule in the future:

writes about it:

,, Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion. I will declare the decree: the Lord hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.”

                                                                                                         Ps.2: 6-8

,, Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in the mountain of his holiness. Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King.”

                                                                                                          Ps.48: 1-2

,, And it shall come to pass in the last days, [that] the mountain of the Lord's house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it. And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.”

                                                                                                           Isa.2: 2-3

These are some prophecies that speak of the Lord Jesus who will reign in the millennial kingdom from Mount Zion and then what was written in Greek, Latin and Hebrew that He is king will be fulfilled.

,, And a superscription also was written over him in letters of Greek, and Latin, and Hebrew, THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS.”

                                                                                                           Luke 23:38

And now He stands as King, "and with Him a hundred and forty-four thousand," and these are the Jews who were chosen in the first half of the great tribulation and are called "servants of God."

,,… till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads. And I heard the number of them which were sealed: [and there were] sealed an hundred [and] forty [and] four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.”

                                                                                                          Rev. 7: 3-4

and they will be great missionaries in the first half of the great tribulations will preach and call people to repent and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and will have great success in that.

It goes on to write, "who had the name of His Father written on their foreheads."

Last time we saw that the "servants of the Antichrist" were sealed and now we read that these "servants of God" have the "seal of God" on their foreheads. This seal of God is proof that these missionaries are indestructible because we read in the seventh chapter that there are one hundred and forty-four thousand of them, and now we see the same number here, which means that none of them were killed, although we saw chaos on earth last time and the Antichrist persecutes those who do not want to worship him and receive his mark.

We have already said that God controls everything, so here again he had confirmation of that, and the Lord Jesus said:

,, And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any [man] pluck them out of my hand.”

                                                                                                           John 10:28

"And I heard a voice from heaven as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder; and I heard the voice of the string players playing their violins. And they sang a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and before the elders: and no man could learn the song, save the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth.

John saw the first vision and the action on earth is proved by the next part of the verse, "And I heard a voice from heaven" which tells us that the action is on earth and that John now hears a voice that is strong or that is heard from "many" because it is compared to the roar of water, it says "the voice of the waters of many" from heaven, and we can conclude from the text that it is a multitude of people who were saved in great trouble. the living beings that we studied earlier and that is the cherubim then mentions the elders that we also studied and we said that it is the Church of Christ that is they are the "representatives of the Church" and finally the people from great trouble and one hundred and forty four thousand who are with fiddles and writes to sing a song sung only by those before the cherubim, angels and before the Church.

And it also says that only they can sing this song and that no one can "learn the songs" except them and that is because only they have gone through great troubles and these one hundred and forty-four thousand have a special place, a special rank in heaven because they will do special tasks in great trouble. Earlier we saw that the Church sang her song but in the fifth chapter and there we even have written the words of the song but this is not that song because the Church was "taken" before the great troubles.

The text further reads:

"These are they who did not defile themselves with women, because they are virgins, they follow the Lamb wherever he goes. These were bought from men, the firstfruits to God and the Lamb. And in their mouth is found no guile: for they are without blemish before the throne of God.

Today, our world has a very popular trend of premarital relations and the peak will probably be in times of great trouble, so it will be a real rarity to find people who will live morally, and we have just such in the text and it says about them:

"These are they who are not defiled with women, because they are virgins,"

There are several opinions about this verse, so we consulted several translations, so here are the results:

Saric

"These are they who have not defiled themselves with women, for they are virgins."

Contemporary Serbian translation

"These are those who have not defiled themselves with women, who have preserved their virginity."

Bakotic

"These are they who are not defiled with women, because they are virgins,"

Stefanovic

"These are they who are not defiled by women; they are like girls."

King James V.

"These are they which are not defiled with women; for they are virgins."

Synod

"These are they who are not defiled with women, because they are virgins,"

Reality

"You didn't get dirty with women, they're virgins!"

If it is literally interpreted here, it is clear what it is about, but if we are talking about spiritual and moral purity here, then again it is clear, but whatever is at stake here was that until then they were unmarried and preserved moral purity or they got married but in marriage they preserved the moral purity,

,, Marriage [is] honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: …”

                                                                                                              Heb.13: 4

these believers will have a special place in heaven and below we read what they do

"They follow the Lamb wherever it goes. These are bought from men, the firstfruits of God and the Lamb. "

Here is what the Apostle Paul wrote about the Church:

,, For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present [you as] a chaste virgin to Christ.”

                                                                                                             2 Cor.11: 2

Paul thought here that a girl should go to her husband and that only he should give his love and not share it with others, so our love for Christ should be the same, and these saved people we are talking about will have it, so they will, , they follow the Lamb wherever he goes. "and that will be the" guard "of the Lord Jesus Christ. Here is what else is written about them:

"These were bought from men, the firstborn of God and the Lamb. And in their mouth is found no guile: for they are without blemish before the throne of God.

They are practically bought by "people" of course infidels because they will be surrounded by infidels who will put pressure on them to change their opinion, moral codes and speech. But they will not listen to all that and they are the first "converts" in great trouble from Israel and in that future time of general deception, false religion, false miracles and signs, they will remain faithful to God as the girl we have just read about, therefore pure and therefore will have a special place in God's plan.

And this was the end of the first vision that John saw here.
