After the Typhoon Maring

Yesterday, 3am was the surge of Typhoon Maring and after 2-3 hours of non-stop rain and howling winds; power supply has been cut, flooded areas, loss of family member/s, homeless families and more had been reported. And it's so devastating to see some neighboring towns suffering so much.

Brother's gf house

My brother called early today asking for food supplies, water, charged power bank and clothes because his girlfriend's house has been flooded and they are still unsure when the power supply will be back. He cannot start his car yet and needs some expert's help to check on it to avoid further damage.

Though we experience strong and howling winds, thank God we have no casualties here in our barangay and power supply was back yesterday's afternoon. This morning, we just had a general cleaning outside for the leaves and branches that had been scattered. And we already had a good weather, still gloomy but no rain the whole day.

We went to the field and check our neighbor's farm if they were affected by the typhoon but I was so surprised that the rice were all standing and there's no even trace that a strong typhoon Maring.

Rice field

I was so fascinated and I can't help but smile and thank God for protecting these rice fields. I know our neighbors have been pouring a lot of their time and money for these and so that they could provide food not just for their family but also to us who cannot live a day without rice.

God allowed all these to happen not to hurt us but to show how He controls everything and how much He loves us. He will never let us empty handed, He will always surprise us by sending angels to bring comfort, help and compassion.

Remember my article yesterday 'Hinagpis ni Maria', she finally went home to see and attend her mother's wake. I know she is in pain but she tried to hide it by smiling and still doing her chores before she went home. Our family and some close friends send help and assistance to her and her family. I am praying that she and her siblings will be alright and that God will embrace them with His comforting love.

Typhoon Maring and all the other trials that we face and will be facing are part of our journey in this life. But one thing is for sure, God will never ever abandon us and He will never let us suffer alone.

Thank you for reading and God bless us all.

Keep inspiring. Keep smiling. Keep praying.

Kawawa lo yung mga nasalanta ni Maring.. Sa Launion, bukod sa buhawi nagkabaha pa.. Nakakaawa ang kanilang sitwasyon
