This past week, Ricardo Bofill, one of the first local star architects, died at the age of 82 while he was still active. Personally I have never been an admirer of his work, but I recognize his contribution to architecture with his works scattered throughout the world. Esta pasada semana, Ricardo Bofill, uno de los primeros star architects locales, murió a los 82 años cuando aún se mantenía en activo. Personalmente nunca he sido admirador de su trabajo, pero reconozco su aporte a la arquitectura con sus obras repartidos por el mundo entero. To illustrate this little post, I have chosen a photograph of one of his most representative works, the Walden 7 residential building located in Sant Just Desvern, and built in 1975. A clear example of brutalist architecture, which served to internationalize his career. Para ilustrar este pequeño post, he elegido una fotografía de una de sus obras más representativas, el edificio de viviendas Walden 7 ubicado en Sant Just Desvern, y construido en el año 1975.
