In the modern historic center of the city of Rotterdam, we find the Markthal (2014), designed by the MVRDV architecture studio. It is a hybrid building in the shape of an arch, which generates a vaulted covered plaza 40 meters high, which organizes and interrelates the three uses of the building, housing, market and restoration. One of the most striking aspects of this building is the mural with food motifs, flowers and insects, which covers the interior of the vault. It is a work created by artists Arno Coenen and Iris Roskan, called “Cornucopia”. This building along with others, which I will gradually share with all of you, was what motivated our trip to Rotterdam. Camera: Nikon D5200 Edition: Snapseed (iPad) Location: Rotterdam - Netherland
