Anyone who does not know the Barcelona Pavilion designed by Mies Van de Rohe, when seeing the image that he illustrates in this post, might be surprised to learn that its creation dates from 1929, so it has 92 years of history. It was created on the occasion of the celebration of the International Exhibition of Barcelona, ​​as the national pavilion of Germany. As planned, it was dismantled once the event was over, but despite that, over the years it became a benchmark of the modern movement. In the 1980s, the Barcelona City Council, supported by a series of local architects, promoted the reconstruction works of the pavilion faithful to the original design, ending up opening to the public in 1986. This building should be included in the itinerary of any tourist visiting the city of Barcelona.
