there and stood inside the curtain covered with a sheet and said to the woman giving the bath: BB!
Didn't you say anything when your hand got stuck? The woman said: I have only said this: this woman
has died; She had an illicit relationship with such a man. Imam Malik (RA) said: Bibi! The slander you have
slandered; Do you have four witnesses who have witnessed it? The woman said: No. understand?????
Then Imam Malik said: Did that woman confess her sin before you? The woman said: No. Then he said: But on what
basis did you slander? The woman said: I have said this because the dead woman was carrying a
pitcher and passing in front of such and such a door. Upon hearing this, Imam Malik (R) stood there and
recited the whole Qur'an He looked at them and said: It has been revealed in the holy Quran
the Qur'an that those who slander a virtuous woman and then do not produce four male
witnesses will be whipped eighty times (Surah Noor: 4). Since you have slandered a dead woman without
any evidence. I am pointing as the chief qazi; Executioner! Start whipping him. . The executioner began to beat him.
He was being flogged. Seventy lashes, but the hand remained stuck as before. Seventy-five remained
the same even after the whipping. Even after eighty-eight lashes, the hand remained stuck to the
thigh. Then, when the eighty lashes were completed, the hand immediately separated from the thigh.
