Dominican hill, Retreat house History.

This is commonly known as **Diplomat Hotel**. Located at the top of Dominican hill, ***Baguio City, Philippines.*** It is now an abandoned building structure.

Way back in ***1913****,* when it was contructed as a retreat house by **Dominacan Order.** This 17 hectares land previously belong to *Americans,* when they first arrived in***1910.*** This is a 3 storey vacation house. Before ***Diplomat Hotel,*** becames an Hotel, gains notoriety and become ruins, as one of the most haunted place here in the ***Philippines.*** During the time of completion, it was considered as the most expensive stone constructure in **Baguio.** At the time where most of the building and houses are made of wood, cogon grass, galvanized iron. By the year ***1915-1917,*** in two years it was made to become a school named **Collegio Del Santissimo Rosario,** because of the very small amount of enrolment. Then it was reverted back as a vacation house. But before it was developed into a school, and eventually a hotel, this used to be a rest *house and seminary.* During to the *****World War II .***** This Hotel became the camp for refugees escaping the japanese. The structure sheltered those people who were fleeing the Japanses forces. But eventually invaded. The Japanese secret police called *****Kempeitai***** ***(***Military police of the imperial japanese army***),*** commited acts of brutality,raping womens ,massacered childrens in the fountain were their blood flows, and tortures some refugees. Even the priest and nuns are also brutaly beheaded.

This place and sorroundings was also bomed by the japanese army. During those years *Baguio City* went through a terrible experience. This hill is currently named as ***Heritage Hill and Nature Park.*** This property was now owned by the Government of Baguio, and was declared a ***National Historical Site*** in the *City of Pines.*
