A collection of events from a better Little Mermaid sequel, because the original is pretty lame. The characters Orson and Sam are mine; Orson is the purple fella and supposed to be Ursula's son, and Sam his pet and the younger sister of her twin eels. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Little_Mermaid_II:_Return_to_the_Sea

If ursula had a son though, i wonder if he and melody would ever thinknof dating 😂
Melody knows nothing of Ursula, so has no predetermined opinion on him, but I've written Orson to be conflicted. He grows to like her over her unbiased views on everything, but Melody is still the daughter of a mermaid, the enemies of his kind, the daughter of his mother's killers, what his revenge is all about, and she's just really bouncy and noisy, unlike him. At least, I rewrote her to be like that. I found the original Melody a bit bland.
True, the original melody was basically your rebellious teen so i didn't enjoy her character much but oof. I really would love to see an adaptation of this ;-; i bet it would be hella cute and the POV could focus on orson cuz who cares about melody when she basically will act like her mom anyways
Melody really needed a character to play off on. And the abundance of comic relief surrounding her wasn't helping.
Agreed, maybe a different persona would have fit better but then it's disney. They need all their princesses in a sort of templ
Even minor character Nala from The Lion King was more memorable, though.
True true. Nala was a necessary role and her character was really something worth remembering
What a colourful poster. 🙂 It's very detailed and the longer I look the more I discover. This would make a good story for sure. I love Ursula and her son is a hunk. Good he has a pet too. 👍
Ursula is cool, but I would've loved to learn more about the octopid race; the Disney Wiki page on it is bare bones. I don't understand why Disney didn't use the sequel to talk about it, or even the stupidly pointless threequel. The latter was also missed a chance to reveal how Ursula got banished and what her role in the palace was.
