Exporting/Importing Journal Entries If you want to transfer a large number of entries: Steps: Exporting entries from the source journal: Menu: File > Export > Journal Entries Choose the Bank Local Currency journal 1 Format: ASCII or Sage 100 Importing into the target journal: Menu: File > Import > Journal Entries Select the exported file Choose the Bank Local Currency journal 2 You can modify the journal in the file before importing if necessary. 2. Using the "Transferring Journal Entries" Function Sage offers a transfer journal function that allows you to move entries between journals. It is accessible via: Accounting > Transfer to Accounting You define the criteria (journal, period, document number) You choose the destination journal This method is ideal if you want to keep the entries intact but change their originating journal. 3. Important Verify that the currencies are compatible between the two journals Ensure that the associated bank accounts or IBANs are correctly configured If you have unchecked "counterpart on each line", the entries must be balanced manually.
