Yema Cake

Hello friends it's @alorochell I would like to share all of you the mouth-watering yema cake. This cake is very easy to make with very affordable ingredients and easy to find. For those who are Filipinos here I know they recognized this simple cake. Let's begin by the way this is a no bake yema cake/sponge cake. Yes, you've read it right No bake coz I don't have an oven. Ingredients: *sponge cake 1 cup all purpose flour 1/2 cup sugar 1 tsp baking powder 1/4 tsp salt 3 tbsp powdered milk (any brand will do) 1 tsp vanilla 4 pcs egg yolks 1/4 cup butter 1/4 cup oil *meringue 4 pcs egg whites 1 tsp vinegar 1/2 cup sugar *yema frosting 300ml condensed milk 370ml evaporated milk 4 pcs egg yolks 1 tbsp vanilla 1 tbsp butter or margarine 2 tbsp cornstarch PROCEDURE FOR SPONGE CAKE: In a bowl combine all purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, powdered milk and salt. Mix well. In a separate bowl combine egg yolks, oil, water and vanilla extract. Mix well. Combine gradually the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients. Mix well. FOR MERINGUE: Beat egg white until foamy. Add vinegar and beat until soft peaks form. Gradually add sugar and beat until stiff peaks form. Fold meringue into cake batter add gradually. Don't over mix. After mixing the batter, pour into the cake pan with parchment paper and steam for 25-30minutes. Do the toothpick check and if it comes out clean the cake is cook. Let it cool. FOR YEMA FROSTING: In a pan combine evaporated milk, condensed milk, egg yolk and cornstarch. Mix well. Cook over low heat and continue stirring until the mixture is thick. When the frosting is thick add butter and vanilla extract and mix well. After 1minute turn the heat off and let it cool. That's all very simple. Charan here is our beautiful yema cake.
