There are times when we encounter problems and troubles that we feel upset or wasted. We find solutions to such problems so that when it happens again we already know what to do. Some people seek advice from other people or even hire someone else to solve his problem while others just want to solve it themselves. I remember this old quote,“Do not complicate simplicity, simplify which is complicated”.There is also this funny quote, “It is hard to face a problem when the problem is your face.”
We have to be a problem solver because every single day is a problem itself. From waking up early in the morning, commuting to office from and to or even adding sugar to your coffee could be a problem. However, these can be automatically solved every day, no need for critical thinking and analysis.
Anyway I was just warming you up for this next topic that I will share to you. Let’s have a DIY project.
The photo here is a wireless mouse via Bluetooth connection. I replaced the wired one with this because you know it’s more convenient to use. But this device has limitations, like distance from where it is connected and the power supply. We can say that there is already a problem with this device even if we think that is almost perfect. Problem with distance is not much of an issue to me but the power supply was. This device is powered by two triple A batteries so I will have to buy rechargeable batteries and a battery charger which can be costly and will be used only for devices with the same type of battery. That could be a solution but to my mind, there is more that I can do to simplify this because you need to remove and replace batteries every time they run out of juice.
With not much critical thinking, I have found the best solution. I replaced the triple A batteries with rechargeable Li-ion batteries and added a charging module. As you can see the Li-ion battery is smaller than that of triple A and can fit inside the battery compartment. I opened the casing and did little effort to fit the charging module in place. I just made some innovation and improvement with this stuff for my own personal use. So the next time it will run out of battery, I will just connect it to any smart phone charger or a power bank.
There are already rechargeable Bluetooth computer mouse in store using Li-ion batteries. It’s just that I don’t want to buy a new one and make some innovations with this instead.
