Trauma
All traumatized children rise to the tune Of anxious heartbeats under the pillow Your childhood room seems so bleak and hollow Rise glasses of tears in the month of June A virus from which no one is immune So innocent like angels in the snow Your tiny heart would always sink so low When your father drank in the month of June For summer is the season of all joy But only to the children of the world That is a role you lost the right to play After you have put down your favourite toy At the age of ten; yet feeling so old Trauma made you stronger is what they'd say
