A couple of days ago, I made a video about mistakes to avoid when upgrading your Splinterlands cards and I recieved a lot of comments related to Summoners. What Summoner should we upgrade first? Amazing video as always @achim03! Thank you for clarifying lots of things that I was wondering about summoners. I was thinking myself in buying one, but they are super expensive! This come very much on time for the Chaos Legion expansion and I will take all your points into account, when I begin to collect and to think in upgrading my summoners. Thank you so much!
Thanks a lot for your feedback. Its a good strategy to wait until CL summoners are available. After the initial days I think that they will be more affordable.
Do you think the old summoners will stay at the same price? They are kind of a commodity, right? They only tend to get more value in time.
Since I have started summoners have almost always gone up in value. It wasn't always a stright line but the trend was always the same. I once bought selenia sky for 12$. I thought it was expensive then lol. Today a single card starts from 400$!
That's what I suspected! Woah! $12!? Amazing! Now that would be a great deal. Thank you so much for your kind advice @achim03! I will treasure every summoner I come across in the future!
Right now, I'm not upgrading any summoner and do it with the ones I have. I stacked a lot of singles from the Dice set back when they were below 1$ with the intention to level them up to Level 5 once the new modern platform was released but it now would feel like the destruction of capital. I'm waiting for Splinterlands to have a massive correction and leveled-up cards to be dumped at a discount to potentially buy again.
I see it also that way. At the moment it would be throwing money out of the window to level up a summoner. I'm waiting for CL release and maybe I will start to collect the new set of summoners so that I will be able to play modern games as well.
