It's Friday, so you know what that means! Time to dive into another album on this FULL ALBUM FRIDAY! As always, the YouTube link to the album is at the bottom of the post. Today's is a little more mainstream, but one of my favourites. Deftones' Saturday Night Wrist was an album that almost broke the band. The lead singer was dealing with a failing marriage and drug addictions. This was also the last album that bassist Chi Cheng played on before getting into a car crash that would eventually take his life. This is also quite possibly the loudest pressed record I've ever heard. With it playing through my Yahama monitors at a decent volume I can still hear the music off the needle. I wish I could upload sound recordings on here so you could all hear it, it's pretty wild lol. In my opinion, the whole thing is a Shoegaze/Alt Metal masterpiece. Grab some headphones and enjoy the ride! *Gotta put a bit of an NSFW on this one for the track "Pink Cellphone" as it gets pretty sexual at one point... but the rest of the album is fine.
