Why does everything seem to follow BTC? Makes no sense to me... if Steak Dinner drops in price, why the hell would batteries also drop in price? Is it a case of too many people not understanding that not all coins are the same thing? Is it like how every video game was "Nintendo" to parents when we were kids? Is it me that's out of touch?

They just wanna blend in!
But if USD goes down, that has a misleading effect on currency and crude markets. I don't get it fully. But crypto currency is a "market" in that one big player can have a depressive effect on it. There's stocks that can impact huge segments of the market when they shit the bed too
