Been working on trying to soft mod my PS2... so far it's been a non-stop supply of "everything that can go wrong will go wrong" lol I've been playing .Hack GU on PC and, tbh, it's horrible. I was expecting it to be like the original .Hack games on the PS2, but so far it's been a colossal letdown. It kinda feels like they stretched the game out, but didn't fill in the gaps... so there's a whole lot of nothing. The PS2 version I remember had a much better atmosphere, and more incentive to explore rather than just blast through the story segments. So anyway, I got my PS2 hooked up to my streaming rig and found the game... only, the disc was missing. NBD, I'll just finally get around to modding the PS2. Softmod seems dead simple to do. I have everything I need. So, step 1 - get a blank PS2 memory card. I've got a few so I should be able to move the data around to clear it off... except, the system isn't reading it. So, I opened it up and give the pins a good ISO scrub. System is reading it fine now. Step 2: Plug a hard drive into the network adapter - again, nbd I have 3 IDE style hard drives.. so I back up the data from one, and go to install it... but the power and pins aren't lined up in a way that they'll fit the adapter. Who knew this wasn't a standardized thing? lmao Back to the drawing board... I'd actually planned on doing this earlier and bought a SATA-style adapter for the PS2. I have some spare SATA drives kicking around too... so I go to back THAT data up, and this is where things are for now... it was gonna take a few hours to do so I let it process overnight. I'll get back into it tomorrow. Hopefully the system can read the drive, but we'll see. This is exactly why I work in IT though. I have a ton of experience in fixing shit with technology because it's almost never as quick and easy as it should be when it comes to things I try to do lol

Technology has made everything very easy ..You can remove technical issues using technology. I'm very happy now. The reason is that My account has been returned after one week. I remember your encouragement sentences. I want to say thanks for courage me.
Technology is great until it isn't 😂 Glad to hear your account is back in good standing!
Don't be sad dear Sir haha.... I'm facing loss. But I shall try to complete my loss dear Sir.. I'm very very happy related to back my account. Thanks for your happiness of you related to my account..
You may be younger than I thought if you assumed that the power plug position on a 3.5" IDE HDD was standardized... If it had been 2.5" you MIGHT have been OK, and if you had a 2.5" a 3.5" to 2.5" IDE adapter certainly would have worked since it wouldn't have had a fixed power connector to begin with. ETA: Or maybe I'm older than I thought. Same thing, really.
I modded so many devices until I bricked a Kindle Fire and do not have the special cable to flash it. By the time the Kindle has become obsolete. Playing around is always a thrill.
