There's a saying about separating the art from the artist; but I'm not sure how exactly that can be done. Maybe for artists who are long dead and were a product of their time it can be do-able. I've been thinking about this for a while as a founding member and guitarist and songwriter for Iced Earth turned out to be a domestic terrorist and supporter of domestic terrorism in the USA. Even if you separate him from his music, if you stream or acquire the songs by legitimate means then you end up indirectly supporting him. If you listen to their music by illegitimate means then you penalize the rest of the band. As an integral member of the band their music wouldn't be the same without him, so it's not like they can just cut ties and continue on.

That is a bit of a dilemma isn't it? BUT having said that, I don't know your politics or position on anything, yet I'm trying to get this into relatable terms. IN MY OWN OPINION Trump is a kind of terrorist. A domestic one at that. I still support musicians that support him. Ted Nugent is a big pro-Trumper. I know it's not the same, and I'm not positive exactly what I'm trying to say. MORE than a 'bit' of a dilemma there.

I try to keep my music and politics separated, but that is a hard chore sometimes. And I've tried not being political here, but...yeah. You understand completely.
Yeah, I'm the same in both cases. I've kinda accidentally gotten a bit political on here, but it's nothing compared to the other platforms I'm on lol. I'm currently on a 7 day FB suspension for calling out the Canadan far-right extremist party on their shenanigans
I'm in facejail for 29 more days because I called someone spamming comments on one of my photos there an ignorant twat. I pretty much unfriended every Trump supporter I knew, but now Biden isn't giving me anything to be extremely supportive of. Oh the rant I could rave about that place...
So far I've been banned for: 1. A meme of Jeffrey Dahmer at a 5 guys that says "I find it hard to believe there are 5 guys in this burger". I got banned at least a full year after I made the post 2. Somebody was ragging on about the lady who got burned by the McDonald's coffee and how she was just looking for money. I censored out the pic a but, but provided proof that the guy had no clue what he was talking about and that McDick's ran a whole smear campaign against the victim. Got banned because of the picture 3. Copy/pasting something somebody else said in a long post because it was hilarious ("French people are stupide"). Literally got banned for that one 4. Sharing a screenshot of a post where a PPC member was trying to rally people up to shoot up a hospital, and calling out supporters of this party for being massive piles of shit. It's honestly no wonder Facebook is such a festering hole of disinformation and assholes. Sharing harmful disinformation is fine, but countering it with proof will get the proof removed and give you a ban. Organizing terrorist events is fine, but trying to call them out will get your post removed and get you banned. I think when I get back from the ban I'll download my pictures and delete my account. I don't want to be associated with a toxic waste dump of humanity.
