I honestly didn't expect anybody to guess the album from the small bit I shared yesterday, but it would have been wild if somebody did. Today's #FullAlbumFriday is MSTRKRFT - The Looks. Fans of Daft Punk would probably like this one as it was heavily inspired by their music. MSTRKRFT - The Looks Rakrakan-O-Meter: [███████░░░] - Upbeat electro vibes https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fdbykNfaZjE&list=PLCWXIh7vWQTK_-LpL-oNLPGYd090Nso0_ MSTRKRFT are a two-piece band out of the Toronto area here in Canada consisting of Jesse Keeler (Death from Above 1969), and AI-P. DAB1969 is totally worth listening to as well, but a totally different genre. The Looks is their first album, which dropped way back in 2006, which is somehow 14 years ago. I have no idea how the gap between 2006-2009 feels longer than the gap between 2006 and 2021, but here we are 😂. The Looks had a few songs that got a bit of air time around the date the album was dropped but they kind of faded into absolute obscurity shortly thereafter, which is a shame because I feel like this album is critically underrated.
