EHG have been around since the 80's and have pretty much pioneered the Sludge genre. The roots could be traced to Black Sabbath to some degree, but Eyehategod take it a step further with aggressive vocals, down-tuned guitars, and heavy riffs. I was super fortunate to finally see these guys live back in 2018 when they were finally legally allowed to cross the border into Canada again. They were supposed to be on tour with Black Label Society, but due to health issues it ended up just being EHG headlining... which was fine by me.
