Was really hoping to get into TEL as a launcher for my phone - it's as close to running and Android phone like a Linux computer as you can get; but as much as I wanted to love it, it was just a bit too clunky and battery-intensive. I realize that it's probably best to just stick with T-UI as my launcher and Termux for the Linux stuff. If anybody's interested, T-UI is a commandline-based launcher that's pretty straightforward to use and accepts most Linux commands, but doesn't really offer much depth. It does have some convenient features, like the ability to send SMS texts straight from the launcher, and the ability to reply back to notifications from the launcher as well. You can do some janky workarounds to make Tasker integrations with it, too. Termux is basically just a full-on Linux commandline for Android. It lets you install some Linux packages right to your phone and operates pretty much the way you'd expect a Linux commandline to operate. It's possibly one of the most powerful tools you can get for Android. T.E.L is basically a combination of T-UI and Termux, though it's not really related to T-UI at all. It pretty much turns your phone into a Linux-based computer, integrating Termux functionality with core Android functions.
