Now that I'm trying to publish on publish0x again, I've realised that I have a limit of 2 articles every 24 hours. It says to contact admins to increase this limit. Are they open to increasing the limit on publishers? What should I do to increase this to 5 a day? Or does it automatically increase with time.

Maybe it has payment.
When I first joined the site and there weren't many people on it, I managed to persuade them to up my limit to five posts a day. I very rarely post that much any more, though. I've found that if I publish more than two a day, only the last two tend to get read and tipped. You might be able to get three without too much difficulty. Alternately, you can save the third post for the next day.
